Conference Center, Hines

Hines implemented a space in its corporate building to house an interesting conference center for its internal and external clients. This space, full of illuminated areas and rooms, is developed with the Orca PoE solution, throughout its lighting system.
In this project, we had the opportunity to manage with ORCA PoE devices, 5760 watts of power in lighting, connecting them to an existing BMS of the Schneider brand. Approximately 85 Orca devices were installed to illuminate, monitor and control luminaires of different commercial brands. Also, the Orca nodes receive data from dampers and motion sensors.
With this project, Hines achieved savings in the cost of investment and operation, as well as control of operating sequences where you can combine the sensors of the system that connects and communicates the Orca solution with the other subsystems connected to your BMS, such as HVAC, access control and alarm. For example, it is possible to detect movement at unusual or permitted times with lighting sensors or switches and send alert signals to the alarm system, generate "heat" maps to manage the most used spaces at different times, complement the sequences of HVAC combining them with the verification of the use of the space by its users, among other opportunities that can be developed with a lower investment cost.
